There are two important advantages to the Easy-Start over traditional large jumper cables: One, the compact, easy-to-carry, easy-to-store size weight takes up about as much room as a paperback novel - you could carry it in a purse or briefcase, if necessary. Two, it's incredibly simple to use - plug the end with the control unit into the cigarette lighter or other 12V outlet of the dead-battery vehicle and the other end into the running starter car. Since the gauge (thickness) of the wire is smaller than traditional jumper cables, the charge rate will naturally be slower. Depending on condition of the dead battery, charging may take as little as 5-10 minutes or as long as 30-45 minutes. However, the slower charge rate also puts less strain on the electrical system of the starter vehicle and can still be faster (and a LOT less expensive) than calling and waiting for a tow truck. 15-foot length and 9 ounces 12A glass-tube fuse for circuit protection.
